Exporting Data

You can export data from Aprimo to a tab-delimited file that you can import into a different application or send to another organization.

Example:
You use a fulfillment company to send an annual thank you card to your customers. You export your customers' address information from Aprimo, and send the tab-delimited file containing the exported data to the fulfillment company.

What You Can Export

You can export one-to-one fields and one-to-many fields. A one-to-one field contains a single value, such as an ID or email address. A one-to-many field contains multiple values, such as the Company Roles field in an audience member record.

You can only export data you can access.

Example:
You want to export information about the 12 activities that were completed in the last few months. You have the rights and are on the access list for 10 of the 12 activities. You are able to export information only for the 10 activities to which you have access.
Tip:
When you export a list page, data is exported for each column shown. You can select different columns to change which data is exported.

Financial Data

Financial information is usually restricted to a select group of users. You might have access to an object, such as an activity, but not have access to the financial information about the object. If you do not have access to the financial information, the exported file contains asterisks (*) instead of the financial data.

Secure Fields

Additional fields called secure extended attributes can be restricted to certain users. A secure extended attribute contains confidential information, so remember when you export secure data, any user who has access to the exported file can see all information in the file.

Contact your system administrator to determine whether an attribute is a secure extended attribute.
