Activity Treatments

A treatment is the media or physical collateral through which you deliver an offer. The Treatments module in an activity displays all the treatments associated with the activity. Treatments you create in an activity can be specific to the activity or available to all activities from the master treatment list.

Example:
You work for a bank that offers a platinum credit card to its best customers. You run an annual marketing campaign that offers customers who are eligible for the platinum account the opportunity to upgrade from their current account. Each year, you create a new activity for this campaign. Because the offer does not change from year to year, you store it in the master offer list to make it available for all activities. You add this offer to the activity for the current campaign. Although you use the same offer each year, you use different treatments each year. You create activity-specific treatments for the current campaign in the Activity Treatments.

Details

For information about the other key fields, see Key Fields in the Master Treatments List.

Field Description
Activity-Specific

Choose whether the treatment is available for use in the current activity only or to all activities. After you select No and save the treatment, the field is read-only.

Cost Details

In the Cost Details section you track the estimated and actual costs to deliver a treatment. Adding cost details to a treatment is optional. For more information, see the Cost Details key fields for master treatments.

Cost details in the master treatment are copied when you add the treatment to an activity. You can edit the cost details in the activity treatment. Editing the cost details of an activity treatment that is not activity specific does not change the master treatment's cost details. However, when you edit the cost details for an activity-specific treatment, the changes appear in the master treatment.
