Changing Your Password

The first time you log into Aprimo, your password is the same as your username. You should change your password immediately. In the future, you can change your password at any time.

Note:
This topic describes the Aprimo Cloud implementation of this feature.

Password Requirements

Your password is case sensitive and may contain up to 100 characters. Your system administrator might have configured additional requirements, such as minimum password length, complex passwords, and password expiration.

Tip:
For information about your organization's password requirements, contact your system administrator.

Minimum Password Length

Your system administrator designates the minimum password length for all user passwords. The default value is 12 characters.

Require Complex Passwords

When this requirement is configured, user passwords must meet these requirements:

  • Must contain all these character types:
    • Uppercase letters
    • Lowercase letters
    • Numbers
    • Special characters
  • Must not contain a character repeated more than three times, the user’s first name, last name, and login ID.
  • Must not contain any of the blacklisted text within the password:
    • p@ssword
    • computer
    • qwerty
    • secret
    • a1b2c3
    • 123
    • aprimo
    • teradata

User Password Expiration

Your system administrator designates how long passwords remain valid. The system administrator also designates when you are alerted that your password is about to expire. When your password is about to expire, change your password according to the password requirements.

Your system administrator also sets the number of consecutive unsuccessful login attempts you can have before your password expires.

  3. Click Save.

Password Resets

Please check the System Parameters: System Tab to understand what the system settings are. If a user has forgotten their password, they can enter their login ID and use the Forgot Password link to request a password reset notification. For security purposes, if the user enters an incorrect login ID the system will say that a password reset notification has been sent, but in fact it will not be sent. Also, if the System Parameter setting for Allow Locked Password Reset is set to No, then even though the system tells a user that a password reset notification has been sent, it will not be.
