Importing Data into Aprimo
Use these System Tools modules to import data from an external database into Aprimo:
- In the Databases module, configure the external databases that contain the data to import. When you configure a database in the Databases module, you define how the application connects to it.
- In the Data Sources module, define the data to import into the application. When you create a data source, you perform these actions:
- Specify the database that contains the data source.
- Create the SQL statement used to query the database.
- Define the field mappings between the fields in the data source and the destination fields in the application.
- In the Data Cleansers module, clean or validate data prior to loading it into the application. Before you can associate a data cleanser with a data source, you must create the data cleanser in the Data Cleansers module. You can also use data cleansers when importing inbound form data.
