Reassigning Leads
When you reassign a lead, a contact history record is created to reflect the reassignment.

You cannot undo a reassignment unless you are the escalation contact for a distribution group, and you reassign the lead to a salesperson in your distribution group. If you are the escalation contact for a distribution group and you assign the lead to a salesperson in a different distribution group, you cannot access the lead after you reassign it.
You can reassign an individual lead or multiple leads to a single sales representative.
Reassigning an Individual Lead
- From the My Leads or My Team's Leads page, point to the lead's action icon, and click View Details.
- Click Edit.
- In the Lead Information section, select the territory, distribution group, and salesperson.
- To send the new salesperson an email message about the lead:
- In the Send Notification to Sales Rep field, click Yes.
- In the Subject field, type the subject line.
- Click Save.
Reassigning Multiple Leads
- From the My Leads or My Team's Leads page, select the check box in the Select All column for each lead you want to reassign.
- Click Reassign.
- In the Lead Information section, select the territory, distribution group, and salesperson.
- To send the new salesperson an email message about the leads:
- In the Send Notification to Sales Rep field, click Yes.
- In the Subject field, type the subject line.
- Click Save.
