Reassigning Leads

When you reassign a lead, a contact history record is created to reflect the reassignment.

This feature is available in Aprimo Marketing Studio 9.1 only.

You cannot undo a reassignment unless you are the escalation contact for a distribution group, and you reassign the lead to a salesperson in your distribution group. If you are the escalation contact for a distribution group and you assign the lead to a salesperson in a different distribution group, you cannot access the lead after you reassign it.

You can reassign an individual lead or multiple leads to a single sales representative.

Reassigning an Individual Lead

  1. From the My Leads or My Team's Leads page, point to the lead's action icon, and click View Details.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. In the Lead Information section, select the territory, distribution group, and salesperson.
  4. To send the new salesperson an email message about the lead:
    • In the Send Notification to Sales Rep field, click Yes.
    • In the Subject field, type the subject line.
  5. Click Save.

Reassigning Multiple Leads

  1. From the My Leads or My Team's Leads page, select the check box in the Select All column for each lead you want to reassign.
  2. Click Reassign.
  3. In the Lead Information section, select the territory, distribution group, and salesperson.
  4. To send the new salesperson an email message about the leads:
    • In the Send Notification to Sales Rep field, click Yes.
    • In the Subject field, type the subject line.
  5. Click Save.
