Master Leads List
A lead represents a potential sales opportunity. The Master Leads List serves as the central repository for all leads. You can add, edit, or delete leads, or place a lead in an interaction. Leads are used in lead processes, where you can create interactions to target leads, cultivate immature leads, and distribute leads through your sales channels.
This feature is available in Aprimo Marketing Studio 9.1 only.
A lead record contains:
You can associate audience members with multiple lead records to target them for multiple products.
A lead record can contain this additional information:
- The territory, distribution group, and sales representative (participant) who is assigned to the lead
- The lead status, score, and quality
- The lead source
- Any additional details your organization wants to track about the lead
Details
Field | Description |

Name |
Choose the audience member record to associate with the lead. This is the person your organization influences in a sales campaign.
You can associate an audience member with multiple lead records. Each lead must be a unique combination of an audience member, a product, and an assignment mode. |
Product |
Choose the product your organization wants to influence the audience member to purchase. You can choose Not Selected in this field, unless you want to:

Lead Assignment Mode |
Choose whether the lead is in draft or production mode. Interactions in a lead process have a corresponding assignment mode field. Interactions with a Draft assignment mode process leads with a Draft assignment mode; interactions with a Production assignment mode of Production process leads with a Production assignment mode. |
Lead Status |
Choose the current disposition of the lead. This indicates whether the lead is currently being processed, and whether you can manually add the lead to an interaction. |
Territory |
Choose the territory to which the lead is assigned. |
Distribution Group |
Choose the distribution group to which the lead is assigned. |
Rep. Assigned |
Choose the participant to which the lead is assigned. |
Lead Score |
Type the lead score for the lead. This represents the relative value of the lead. |
Lead Source |
Type the point of origin, or the way the lead was imported or entered into the application. For example, you may import leads from a customer relationship management vendor. The value in this field would be CRM to indicate the lead originated from a customer relationship management vendor. |
Lead Quality |
Type the quality of the lead. |
Additional Fields, Sections, and Tabs
Your system administrator can create additional fields for some objects and make them available for certain system types. Additional fields appear on the Details tab in the Additional Details section or in other sections or on other tabs that the system administrator creates.

Lead Assignment

Reassign Leads |
Choose whether to reassign the selected leads to another sales representative or change the lead status. |
Territory |
This field appears if the Reassign Leads field is set to Yes. Choose the territory to which the leads are reassigned to change the selected leads to the same territory. Leave the default of Not Selected if you do not want to change the territory. |
Distribution Group |
This field appears if the Reassign Leads field is set to Yes. Choose the distribution group to which the leads are reassigned to change the selected leads to the same distribution group. You must select a distribution group if you selected a territory in the Territory field. Leave the default of Not Selected if you do not want to change the distribution group. |
Rep. Assigned |
This field appears if the Reassign Leads field is set to Yes. Choose the participant to which the leads are reassigned. If you did not select a territory or distribution group, all sales representatives are available to select. If you did select a territory and distribution group, only the sales representatives associated with the selected distribution group are available to select. |

Choose whether you change the lead status for the selected leads. |
Lead Status |
This field appears if the Change Lead Status field is set to Yes. Choose the disposition for the leads. You can select lead statuses that are in a lead state of Open or Closed. |
Notifications

Send Notification to Sales Rep |
Choose whether to send a notification to the sales representative about the lead changes. A sales representative receives one notification when multiple leads are reassigned or have their lead statuses changed. |
Subject |
This field appears if the Send Notification to Sales Rep field is set to Yes. Specifies the subject of the email notification that is sent to the sales representative. |
