Content Plans: Concepts

A Content Plan is an object in Aprimo that lets you create and organize Activities that represent content sharing a common purpose, theme or business objective. Defining the Content Plan and contributing Activities is a collaborative effort between stakeholders. Within the Content Plan, Activities are tracked from conception to design to approval to execution. A Content Plan lets you organize the Activities, assess any gaps, and take action on them (such as starting workflow projects), as well as view and add new assets.

Example:
A financial services organization is launching a new version of a credit card, targeted at consumers in the Northeast region who travel more than twice per month. To accompany this launch, they need to re-use some existing assets as well as build out several pieces of new content. They build out a Content Plan in Aprimo with existing content pulled in from DAM and several newly created Activities that include the new credit card design, along with projected timing of when the content is available. The goal of the content produced via these Activities is to reach the right audience and include the various key messages that resonate with those consumers. Each new Activity will contain one or more workflow projects that manage the design, development and review/approval of the content.
