Load List Wizard in an Activity or Lead Process

You use the load list wizard to import a list of audience members into an activity or a lead process. You can import a list stored in a comma delimited (.csv) file or a Microsoft Excel file.

This feature is available in Aprimo Marketing Studio 9.1 only.

The load list wizard imports audience members directly into the current activity or lead process and also the master audience member list. To prevent duplicate records in the master audience member list, the load list wizard attempts to match incoming records with existing records.

Example:
You need to add the appropriate audience members to the activity for a trade show. You have an Excel spreadsheet listing the people to invite. You use the load list wizard to import the people directly into the activity as audience members, and add them to the master audience member list.
Tip:
The load list wizard is intended to be used with files that need to be imported regularly and that are in the same format each time. If your importing needs exceed the scope of the load list wizard, use the Datasource Management modules to import data.

Key Fields

Field Name Description
File

Click the Browse button to locate the file.
Template

Select the correct template to apply to the file you want to upload.

The template defines this information:

  • The field names, or column headings, the source file contains.
  • The fields in the application database that store the data that is imported from the corresponding fields in the source file.

If you do not know which template to select, contact your system administrator.
Group Name

Select the group to which you want to add the audience members you upload.

The group name determines which interactions can process the audience member records.
