Configuring Safari

This article covers how to configure Safari 6, 7, and 8 for use with Aprimo.

Note:
Aprimo and the portal only support Safari on Macintosh computers.

Configuring Safari 6

Caution:
  • Aprimo 10 does not support Safari 6.
  • You cannot use the workflow, segmentation, interaction, and HTML designers with Safari 6.
  • Only 100% zoom is supported.

Deleting Temporary Internet Files

Delete the temporary Internet files stored on your computer before using the application or portal for the first time. You should also delete temporary files each time an Aprimo production update is installed. For more information, contact your system administrator.

  1. Enable the Develop menu, if necessary:
    • On the Safari menu, click Preferences.
    • Click Advanced.
    • Select Show Develop menu in menu bar.
    • Close the Preferences window.
  2. On the Develop menu, click Empty Caches.

Turning Off the Safari Pop-up Blocker

  1. On the Safari menu, click Preferences.
  2. Click Security.
  3. In the Web Content section, clear the Block pop-up windows check box.
  4. Close the Preferences window.

Configuring Safari 7 and 8

Caution:
  • Aprimo 10 does not support Safari 7.
  • Only 100% zoom is supported.

  3. In the Web content section, clear the Block pop-up windows check box.
  4. Close the Preferences window.

Enabling Silverlight

Complete this procedure if you use Aprimo' annotation features.

  1. On the Safari menu, click Preferences.
  2. Click Security.
  3. For the Internet plug-ins field, select Allow Plug-ins, and click Manage Website Settings (Safari 7) or Website Settings (Safari 8).
  4. Select Silverlight.
  5. In the When visiting other websites field, select Run in unsafe mode.
  6. Click Trust.
  7. Click Done.
  8. Close the Preferences window.
